A $5 donation each month WILL help the HBC Youth Centre continue to Reduce Youth Crime and Save Youth Lives. WE raise all our own funds, to positively help our community and youth safe and need $340,000 each year to operate. The HBC Youth Centre provides a Youth Facility that houses safe spaces and services for youth 5-24 years old. With over 650 visitors each week, we deliver safe hang out activities, excursions, care, education, career placements/employment, counselling and youth action plan services 7 days/week. Mentoring and Counselling is extended across the Hibiscus and Bays region 24/7 and we are open to the public, with particular support for youth and their families within Orewa, Whangaparaoa, Browns Bay and the neighbouring skate park. Wellness, Training Activity Hall/Rock Climbing and Cafe rooms are available for hire, with volunteering a key part or our programming and community event delivery.
The Hibiscus Coast Youth Council became incorporated on the 20th March, 1979. The Youth Centre was established to provide a friendly, safe environment with structured recreational facilities for children of all ages.
The Hibiscus Coast Youth Centre is a non-profit organization whose mission is to empower, strengthen youth and their families by providing comprehensive youth development through education, physically challenging activities, employment and training advocacy and other support services.
We provide opportunities and support for young people, encouraging them to become involved in, and contribute to the development of their community.
